Everyone wowed about NCSU, how about HCPL's Aquabrowser implementation?
(pointed out in e-mail from CSB) It's from TLC, and it appears to rock. On the LHS it's got a visualization of the subject and on the RHS it's got facets. Well, it's just plain pretty. And yes, it rocks.

Also, on the TLC web page there is a list of libraries (http://www.tlcdelivers.com/aquabrowser/customerlists.asp?type=ab) who have purchased the technology. I'm actually planning a post along these lines, but I wanted to comment here because you're pointing to a wonderfully conceived product. My main problem with it is that it requires flash, which is a major stumbling block for many folks. As technically literate people, we don't understand that something as simple as installing a flash plug-in can be a daunting or impossible task to others.
More on aquabrowser, which is a Dutch product.
